We propose a group of buildings that develop themselves, guided by the natural providence that shapes all things.
When we create architecture, we inevitably give form to the accumulation of materials through artificial means.
``Makino's Roadside Station'' is of course no different from this, but the forest is formed from trees, and
trees are made up of roots, trunks, branches, and leaves.
As the roadside station grows, cedar pillars are erected, beams are hung, fittings and walls create space freely,
and slanted cedar pillars form the tops of the pillars.
It is reinforced and shown growing randomly like a tree growing thickly.
A film is gently placed over the collection of structures, like a cloud.
A cluster of buildings is created, similar to the natural vegetation that reproduces itself.
The construction method will be as low-tech as possible, and the structure will be assembled without the use of
special techniques. Diverse places and large mountains that blend with the surrounding natural vegetation and where
human actions and activities are concentrated, or areas full of individuality. The trees will blend into each other.

Makino's Roadside Station brings out the diverse charms of Sagawa through the flexibility of the building.
The entire building is made up of movable walls, allowing the quality and quantity of the interior to be changed
flexibly depending on the building's users. By continuing to renew the building and the programs set up within it,
users, including employees, will never get tired of.
We plan to create a facility that people will feel attached to. We also envision that both local residents and people
from outside the prefecture will visit this location as a destination. On the other hand, many people actually use this
roadside station as a stop while driving around Kochi Prefecture, which has many tourist spots.
Therefore, we will introduce a drive-thru, which has been recognized as a convenience and is increasingly being used
during the coronavirus pandemic.
Under the cloud-like scattered tents where you can experience a variety of activities, there is a tourist information
center, direct-from-the-farm and product sales area, and a cafeteria/restaurant.
The attractions of Sagawa Town will be conveyed through the use of the site.
